Bendheim is the sole North American supplier of Restoration Glass®, the world's finest mouth-blown window glass found in our country's most prestigious restorations, including The White House, Mount Vernon, and Monticello. Restoration Glass® is identical to glasses made before the advent of modern window glass-making. It is produced by Germany's Glashütte Lamberts, where craftsmen hand-make each sheet utilizing centuries-old techniques. Its subtle imperfections allow historically-accurate detailing of homes, buildings and furniture. Restoration Glass® is available in two varieties -"Full" (more distorting, representing glass from the 17th and 18th centuries) and "Light" (less distorting, similar to glass from the 19th and 20th centuries). Bendheim now offers Restoration Glass® in safety laminated form, in compliance with today's exacting building safety codes. The glass can be also installed in insulated units (IGUs), providing the dual benefit of a period aesthetic and modern, energy-conserving performance.

Produced exclusively for Bendheim in North America by Germany's Glashütte Lamberts, every Restoration Glass® sheet is hand-selected and carefully inspected at the factory to ensure the finest quality.

As seen in the Second Branch Bank of the U.S. at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Restoration Glass' slight distortion allows historically-accurate detailing of antique and period-style buildings.
